We seek physical and mental rejuvenation. Join us!
Olumo Rock and beyond…a wellness and fitness trip. (Limited to 4 guests)
Welcome to the nation of mountains and falls! Over the next few days, we’ll spend quiet times by waterfalls, gain amazing views on some of the most dramatic mountains, meditate by the Oceanside, and receive an African massage complete with the famed shea butter. Welcome!
Here are a few things we hope to do...
Arrive at Lagos. Depending on when you arrive, you might join us on a leisurely walk around the neighborhood with a coffee stop. Later, we’ll introduce ourselves over plates of food and drinks.
Our journey begins today. We’ll head to the famed Olumo rock outside Lagos; its imposing structure offered refuge to various tribes for more than five centuries. We’ll attempt to hike our way to the top. The view is priceless. We’ll head back to Lagos to settle in for a special massage, followed by a sumptuous meal.
Today we’ll visit the Lekki Conservation Center; an ecological haven and a respite from the bustle of West Africa’s largest city. We’ll attempt to conquer Africa’s longest canopy walkway surrounded by one of the densest rainforests on the continent. Later, we’ll gather for lunch at the center’s restaurant, surrounded by beautiful trees and clean air.
Today we’ll fly to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city. We’ll stretch our legs by embarking on a short tour of various neighborhoods, get some rest and head out for dinner at a beautiful spot.
Join us for a hike or get some rest. After breakfast, we’ll head out of the city to the Gurara waterfalls; a true marvel of nature. Surrounded by lush greenery and the splashing sound of the falls, we’ll attempt to climb the falls’ rock formations. Picnic will be served by the falls. Later in the day, we’ll calm our senses at one of the city’s best spas; its specialty is the famed African shea butter massage. Some experiences can’t be described. You’ll find out for yourself.
Today we’ll also drive out of Abuja. Our destination is the famed Mount Patti; one of the most intimidating, yet beautiful, rocks in central Nigeria. It’s also one of the most important spots in Nigerian history, as we’ll find out. We’ll attempt to get to its top. The view from the top is so important that it’s depicted on the map of Nigeria. More on that when we get there.
Today we’ll fly back to Lagos. We’ll spend some time walking around one of West Africa’s largest open-air markets. There are no fixed prices, so sharpen your negotiation skills! We’ll spend the evening on a quiet, rejuvenating cruise along the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy the waves. Take in the dramatic vistas of Africa’s economic powerhouse. Dinner will be served on the cruise.
Wake up a bit late today. We’ll head to the quiet Atican beach. You might opt to take a nap. Or read a book. We’ll have a yoga instructor around for a private class organized just for us. Your choice. Picnic will be served by the Oceanside. We’ll spend the afternoon on last minute shopping trips and gather in the evening for final reflections.
Our hope is that the past few days have been truly rejuvenating, maybe a little tiring. It feels sad to say goodbye but we look forward to welcoming you back to Nigeria soon. For now, have a safe flight!
